NEW AAT QCF Qualification
On 1st July 2010 the AAT launched a qualification to replace both the existing NVQ route and Diploma Pathway.
There will still continue to be three progressive qualification levels (2, 3 & 4) which will cover the key areas of Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Taxation, Audit and Report Writing.
In order to complete the qualification and gain full membership of the AAT, you will need to complete Level 3 and Level 4. Level 2 is recommended as an entry level if you have no experience or knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
Under the new qualification, there will no longer be paper based exams, meaning the majority of units will be assessed by CBT (Computer Based Test), with up to three units being assessed by e-projects.
New students wishing to study AAT will be required to register under the new framework.
