The final level of the qualification is for people who have previously completed the level 3 stage of the qualification or who have an Accounts related degree. On completion of the Level 4 Diploma candidates will be able to apply for full membership to the AAT.
The level 4 diploma covers the following mandatory areas:

• Drafting financial statements for all business types including limited companies. (1 computer based test)
• Management accounting including budgeting and monitoring financial performance (2 computer based tests)
• The preparation of a management report requiring the analysis of an accounting environment (E-Project)

Two optional units must be chosen from the following:

• Preparation of personal and business taxation computations (2 computer based tests),
• External auditing processes (1 computer based test) and
• The management of credit and control (1 E- project)

We would expect this qualification will take 12 months to complete for most students.
