The first level of the qualification is for people with limited or no accounts knowledge. The Level 2 certificate covers the following areas:

• Double entry bookkeeping to initial trial balance stage and includes sales ledger and purchase ledger (2 computer based tests)
• An introduction to management accounting including costing and batch control (1 computer based test)
• Computerised accounting (i.e SAGE) – (1 computer based test)
• Working effectively in accountancy & finance (1 E-project)

We would expect this qualification to take 6 months to complete for most students.
